Jewelry from the language of mathematics.
Studio Galois is a jewelry atelier in New York City, founded by two people whose formation is in mathematics and physics. We design pieces that begin as mathematical objects — structures from topology, knot theory, group theory, quantum mechanics — and arrive as wearable things that hold their own in the hand, on the body, without explanation.
The name comes from Évariste Galois, who saw hidden symmetries where others saw only equations. That impulse guides the work: to find the formal beauty inside a mathematical idea and to let it become something physical, something you can wear and live with. The pieces are true to the mathematics, but they are not illustrations. They are objects first.
We work across processes — 3D printing, lost-wax casting, crochet, hand fabrication — choosing the technique that best serves each structure. Sterling silver, bronze, fiber. Different materials, different scales, the same underlying sensibility.
